Serves: 60 ounces
Ingredients
  • 4½ Cups Granulated White Sugar
  • ⅓ Cup Matcha Green Tea Powder
  • 6 Green Tea Tea Bags
  • 4 Cups Coconut Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Coconut Extract
Instructions
  1. Start by adding the sugar, Matcha Green Tea Powder and the green tea leaves from the tea bags to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Simply cut the tea bags open and pour the leaves into the bowl.
  3. Whisk or stir the dry ingredients until they are thoroughly combined.
  4. Soften the coconut oil in the microwave for about 15 seconds until it is soft enough to pour into the bowl of dry ingredients.
  5. Add the coconut extract, then mix until it is thoroughly incorporated.
  6. Transfer into air-tight container.
Notes
Apply a handful of the Matcha Green Tea Sugar Scrub to your arms and legs and gently massage. I don't use this on my face. I think it is better suited for the body only. While I have dry skin and benefit from the oil in this body scrub, I prefer to use it before I soap up. I use my normal body wash applied with a body scrub sponge to remove the scrub and excess coconut oil.

Use caution with glass jars in the shower. I chose glass jars because they looked pretty as party favors. An air-tight plastic container might be a safer alternative. The coconut oil in this body scrub can make the floor of your shower or tub slippery so please use caution.
