EASY CHEESY PULL-APART BREAD

Ingredients
  • 1 Large Round Loaf of Unsliced Sourdough Bread
  • 1 Stick Butter, Melted (1/2 Cup)
  • ¼ Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 4 Cloves Garlic, Pressed Through a Garlic Press
  • ½ Teaspoon Coarse Ground Pepper
  • 2 Teaspoons Poppy Seeds
  • 12 Ounces Mozzarella Cheese, Thinly Sliced
  • ½ Cup Finely Diced Green Onions, Both Green & White Parts
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil.
  3. Using a large bread knife and starting at one end of the loaf, slice the bread into 1 inch strips, being careful not to cut through the bottom crust.
  4. Rotate the loaf and cut in the other direction in the same fashion.
  5. Place the cut loaf on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the butter, parmesan cheese, garlic, pepper and poppy seeds.
  7. Using a pastry brush, brush the butter mixture into the cut crevices of the bread.
  8. Insert the mozzarella slices between the cuts in the loaf.
  9. Using your fingers, sprinkle on the green onions, pushing them down into the loaf.
  10. Wrap the foil around the loaf, sealing it tightly.
  11. Bake for 15 minutes, then unwrap the bread and continue baking until the cheese has melted.
  12. Serve hot.
