VALENTINE MARSHMALLOW TREATS
 
 
These delicious treats make the perfect Valentine's Day treat and they're loved by kids and adults alike.

Ingredients
  • 1 cube (1/2 cup) Butter
  • 8 cups Miniature Marshmallows
  • Red Food Coloring
  • 12 Cups Puffed Rice Cereal
  • 1 Bag White Chocolate Chips
  • 4.8 Oz. Jar Nonpareils (or candy sprinkles of your choice)
Instructions
  1. Coat a 9" x 13" x 2" baking pan liberally with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Melt butter in a large pot over medium low heat.
  3. Add miniature marshmallows and a few drops of red food coloring to achieve desired color.
  4. Stir until completely melted.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Add puffed rice cereal and stir until well coated.
  7. Using a buttered rubber spatula or wax paper, evenly press the mixture into the prepared pan.
  8. Cool to room temperature.
  9. Coat a heart shaped cookie cutter with nonstick cooking spray and cut into heart shapes.
  10. Or use a knife to cut into squares, rectangles or desired shape.
  11. Melt chocolate chips according to package instructions.
  12. Dip marshmallow treats in melted chocolate, then dip in nonpareils.
  13. Place on a sheet of parchment or waxed paper to cool.
  14. Store no more than two days at room temperature in airtight container.
  15. To freeze, place in layers separated by wax paper in airtight container.
  16. Freeze for up to 6 weeks.
