EASY CHEESY PULL-APART BREAD

- 1 Large Round Loaf of Unsliced Sourdough Bread
- 1 Stick Butter, Melted (1/2 Cup)
- ¼ Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 4 Cloves Garlic, Pressed Through a Garlic Press
- ½ Teaspoon Coarse Ground Pepper
- 2 Teaspoons Poppy Seeds
- 12 Ounces Mozzarella Cheese, Thinly Sliced
- ½ Cup Finely Diced Green Onions, Both Green & White Parts
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a baking sheet with foil.
- Using a large bread knife and starting at one end of the loaf, slice the bread into 1 inch strips, being careful not to cut through the bottom crust.
- Rotate the loaf and cut in the other direction in the same fashion.
- Place the cut loaf on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, combine the butter, parmesan cheese, garlic, pepper and poppy seeds.
- Using a pastry brush, brush the butter mixture into the cut crevices of the bread.
- Insert the mozzarella slices between the cuts in the loaf.
- Using your fingers, sprinkle on the green onions, pushing them down into the loaf.
- Wrap the foil around the loaf, sealing it tightly.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then unwrap the bread and continue baking until the cheese has melted.
- Serve hot.
