IT’S PANDA-MONIUM AROUND HERE!
It’s pure Panda-monium around here! Pink Panda-monium to be exact.
Remember I told you about my Granddaughter, Elle, turning 1 in a previous post?
Well, we celebrated her 1st Birthday “Panda Style”.
Elle lives in Washington, DC where Pandas have become all the rage. That’s because there is a new baby Panda named “Bao Bao” in the Smithsonian National Zoo. You can watch Bao Bao live on a Panda Cam here. She is absolutely adorable.
But Bao Bao is not the only adorable one in town. Elle looked mighty cute in the arms of her own Giant Panda.
Elle’s resident Panda greeted all the guests as they arrived for her Panda birthday party.
Having recently learned to wave, Elle was quite good at greeting guests as well.
Her basement playroom was the perfect venue for the party……
with its pink, black & white color scheme.
Pandas were peaking out from everywhere.
They could be found on the mantle……
and in the window sill.
Pandas were in the favor baskets……
and on the cocktail napkins.
There was Pink Panda Punch for the baby Pandas……
and Pink Champagne for the Mama & Papa Bears.
No Panda party would be complete without chopsticks tied in pink ribbon and housed in white rice……
ready and waiting for a delicious lunch of Chinese food.
And there was plenty of bamboo for the Panda bears.
Elle’s first glimpse of the party was priceless.
The Pink Panda joined in the festivities too……
as friends and family lined up to pose with the Panda.
Elle posed with her parents. And, next year she will celebrate her birthday with a new brother who is expected in March.
Even the youngest party guest enjoyed the Panda.
Although Elle’s BFF wasn’t quite sure what to make of it all.
The favor table was piled high with goodies……
along with a framed party invitation.
There were Panda cookies……
and a magnificent Panda Birthday Cake! When we cut into it, everyone was surprised to find that the Panda was a giant Rice Krispie Treat.
But no one was more excited about the cake than Elle……
who got help blowing out the candle. She was more interested in eating cake than blowing out candles……
and was not happy when the cake was taken away for serving.
But she cheered right up when she was given her own piece.
The entertainment included a pictorial history of Elle’s 1st year……
along with a video documenting her first 12 months.
All-in-all, it was a great celebration. If you’d like to have your own Pink Panda-monium Party, see my clickable links “Shop To It” list below.
