A TOUR OF ONE OF ARIZONA’S MOST MAGNIFICENT HOMES
Greetings from Phoenix, Arizona.
I’m taking a break from my Iberian Odyssey Cruise coverage to take you on a tour of one of Arizona’s most magnificent homes.
It happens to be the beautiful abode of my talented interior designer friend Jennifer Johnstad of Shutters Home. You may recall seeing her lovely estate when I took you to a beautiful engagement party she hosted recently. If you missed that post you can click here to view it.
Located in the exclusive area of Phoenix known as Arcadia, Jenn has recently put her beautiful, 6200 square foot Ranch style home on the market. For just over $3 million dollars her 4 bedroom, 5 bath home could be yours! So, she welcomes you to come on in and see it.
I love Jenn’s front door, which allows lots of natural light into the large foyer area.
The foyer opens into a formal dining room with an interesting and unique vaulted ceiling.
The opposite side of the foyer opens into the formal living room.
As you will see, many distinctive elements adorn the home, from custom millwork to crown molding and wainscoting.
Directly past the entry hall is the family room, which is adjacent to the large chef’s kitchen.
The entertainment wall is covered in reclaimed barn wood.
Complete with wolf and subzero appliances, the gourmet kitchen also has a large adjacent butler’s pantry.
Just off the kitchen is the barrel-shaped informal dining room with views of the expansive backyard.
The home, situated on almost a full acre of land, is designed in a U shape.
One side of the “U” houses a long hallway with rows of French Doors that open onto the rear courtyard.
Just off this hallway is a room dedicated to Jenn’s husband and his sports memorabilia. It is complete with a wet bar and media center.
I happen to own the very same coffee table.
The room, spanning the full width of the home, also opens up to the front patio, which offers full views of Camelback Mountain.
At the end of the hall is the huge Master Suite…
complete with a marble fireplace and sitting area.
The generously sized ensuite Master Bathroom provides every imaginable spa-like luxury.
Conveniently located just off the Master Suite is the enormous Laundry Room.
Now let me take you to the opposite wing of the home. Down another long hallway adorned with a gallery wall of family photos is the children’s wing of the home.
Here Jen shares her Home Office with her adorable twin girls who use this as a Homework and Craft Room.
There is also a spacious Powder Room nearby.
These are the girls’ rooms, which as I mentioned, are located in the separate children’s wing of the home.
Both rooms open onto a large side yard, designed for children’s play.
Nearly every room in Jenn’s house provides direct access onto this beautiful brick patio with its own wood-burning fireplace.
As we proved at the recent Engagement Party, it’s a wonderful place to entertain year round.
So there you have it: A TOUR OF ONE OF ARIZONA’S MOST MAGNIFICENT HOMES
