A WONDERFUL WEDDING WEEKEND
Hi there!
My BFF’s daughter recently got married on a ranch outside of Denver, Colorado. I have introduced you to the bride and groom a couple of times before when I took you inside their charming Denver loft here.
I also wrote a blog post about their magnificent Engagement Party here.
And I took you to the Bridal shower I co-hosted for the bride here.
Well, all of these lovely events finally culminated in a wonderful wedding weekend. It was a joyful, fun and heartwarming time spent with family and dear friends. Because this was a destination wedding for most, all of the bridal party and most of the 175 guests stayed together at The Westin Hotel Denver. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a delightful Welcome Gift Box full of goodies and a schedule of events for the weekend.
Many of the guests gathered together Friday evening for a Welcome Cocktail Party at The Palm Restaurant located in The Westin. The following morning the bridal party assembled in the lobby of the hotel where we were transported by vans to Spruce Mountain Ranch for the wedding rehearsal.
The girls piled into one van and the guys in another for the 45 minute trip out to the ranch. The groom had placed his ipod in the girls’ van and had the song “Marry Me” playing. It was such a touching way to start the journey. To hear this beautiful song as you read the rest of this post click below.
The wedding would take place the following day under a beautiful oak tree.
It was fun to see the bride carrying a bouquet that was fashioned from the bows that decorated the gifts given to her at the bridal shower I had co-hosted.
My little Granddaughter would be one of 2 sweet little Flower Girls.
Everyone practiced walking down the open-air aisle and dreamed of the big day which would be upon us just 24 hours later.
The early morning rehearsal left time for a Bridesmaid Brunch at The Four Seasons Hotel Denver. It was so much fun and was made extra special when the chef invited the Junior Bridesmaids and the Flower Girls back into the kitchen to make ice cream sundaes. I plan to devote a whole blog post to this special event, so stay tuned.
Later that evening we attended the Rehearsal Dinner which took place at one of my favorite Colorado restaurants called The Kitchen.
It was there that I got this candid photo of the blushing bride Anna and her mother, my BFF Lisa.
Golden wrought iron candelabras from my collection ornamented the tables at the Rehearsal Dinner.
The evening culminated with the viewing of a touching video of the bride and groom. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
The following afternoon Anna & Carson were married at Spruce Mountain Ranch. It was without a doubt the most beautiful wedding I have ever attended. Stay tuned and in an upcoming post I’ll show you much more of this magnificent wedding.
So there you have it: A WONDERFUL WEDDING WEEKEND
