VALENTINE’S DAY AT STONE HILL COTTAGE
We celebrated Valentine’s Day at Stone Hill Cottage (my new/old log cabin) a bit early this year.
That’s because my darling cousin and her adorable family were coming to visit, and I decided it would be fun to acknowledge Saint Valentine while they were here.
While Valentine’s Day can be a romantic couple’s holiday, I think it’s also very much a celebration of the love of family. And our Valentine’s Day at Stone Hill Cottage was all about family.
So I set a festive table complete with a centerpiece of red roses and baby’s breath.
And made Marshmallow Treats in the shape of hearts as both dessert and as individual treats for each child.
What kid doesn’t love Marshmallow Treats, made even better when they’re dipped in white chocolate and sprinkles?
In fact, they couldn’t wait to get their hands on them.
But before we allowed the children to dig in, I served a hot lunch of Mac & Cheese Chili along with Sweet Cornbread and Caesar Salad.
Stay tuned for all the warm & comforting recipes in my very next blog post! Sending you Valentine wishes from my cottage to yours.
