Greetings and welcome to Sundays with Celia Vol 6.
Did you miss me last Sunday?? I’ve been traveling and find it very difficult to blog while I’m on vacation. I was also on a cruise ship somewhere in the wilds of Alaska with very poor and sometimes non-existent internet, making blogging nearly impossible. So, much to my regret, I missed posting last Sunday and I missed you!
So in my upcoming posts I’ll be sharing our adventure with you. Please join us as we…
- arrive in Seattle, Washington…
- and check into the Inn at the Market, pre-cruise.
- We’ll take you with us as we visit the famous Pike Place Market…
- The following day we will board the lovely Celebrity Solstice…
- and I’ll give you a tour of our Aft Facing Sky Suite…
- As we cruise the Inland Passage and Tracy Arm Fjord we’ll get up-close-and-personal with glaciers that are so blue you’d think someone had doused them with dye.
- And we’ll spend peaceful days at sea contemplating nature’s great beauty and the vastness of the Pacific Ocean.
- We’ll board a 10 passenger float plane and fly over 5 glaciers to the remote Taku Lodge where we’ll eat delicious King Salmon.
- And it is from here that we’ll, together, get friendly with wild bears…
- and bald eagles.
- I’ll take you with us to our final port of call, beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, where I checked off a bucket list item to visit the amazing Butchart Gardens…
- and partake in a Traditional British High Tea.
- All too soon our 7 day cruise to Alaska will come to an end, but our adventure won’t end when the ship arrives back in Seattle. From there we’ll take a ferry to Orcas Island, the most picturesque and most visited of the San Juan Islands.
- It is here that we rented the most charming of cottages at a place called Rutabaga Farm. You’ll join us as we…
- eat freshly harvested Oysters at Hogstone…
- visit the colorful Orcas Island Farmer’s Market…
- and dine at a farm-to-table feast in the barn at Red Rabbit Farm.
