NATURAL SKINCARE TIPS EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW
Hello and thanks very much for stopping in today. I don’t usually do “Beauty Posts,” but as a woman of a “certain age,” I share most women’s desires to stay as young and as healthy as I can as I age. I happen to have a lot of allergies to cosmetics, so over the course of time I’ve tried many different beauty products and skincare routines. In my attempts to avoid reactions to products, I’ve learned a number of natural skincare tips every woman should know. So, I’ve decided to share some of them with you today.

With more and more people shifting toward a more “green lifestyle,” I’ve noticed that there is also a heightened interest in “natural” skincare in general. The market is filled with products that promise to provide you with a youthful glow, but how many of them can do so without the use of toxic, and what I find to be irritating chemicals? I’ve discovered a good example of one such company called, Well Within Beauty, that has established a solid reputation on the market for plant-based skincare. Check them out here.
MAKEUP REMOVAL – A Necessary First Step in a Skincare Regimen
I learned a long time ago that the key to maintaining healthy and youthful skin is to always remove my makeup before going to bed. I do this religiously, and I honestly believe it has helped me continue to have healthy skin that I’ve been told defies my age. I constantly tell my girlfriends to do the same.

Well Within Beauty has an excellent makeup remover that I’d recommend. Alternatively, did you know that you can also use essential oils to remove your makeup? All that you have to do is moisten a cotton ball with your choice of oil, which can include castor, sunflower, hazelnut and olive oil. A combination of aloe vera and raw honey will also do the trick. The important thing is to make sure that your makeup is fully removed everyday before bed. This way your skin has the ability to heal and rejuvenate as you sleep. Daily cleansing also stimulates the skin’s cell turnover, and removes dirt as well as dead skin cells. Cleansing unblocks your pores, allowing your skin to breathe and to reveal the natural radiance of new skin layers. And most importantly, cleansing preps your skin for other skincare applications to follow, ensuring efficient absorption.
Wrinkle Prevention
It is important to take preventive measures so that wrinkles won’t be as much of an issue as you age. One of the best ways to prevent and reduce wrinkles naturally is by gently massaging your face before you sleep with the use of an effective moisturizer. The application of lemon juice is also great, as its acidity will help improve the glow of the skin. I apply moisturizer with a sunscreen every single morning, an absolute must to slow aging and prevent skin cancer.

You should also stay hydrated, eat lots of fruits and vegetables, and don’t smoke.
Acne Treatment
Acne can occur at any age and there are many possible causes of acne, which include diet, use of the wrong skincare products, changing hormones, and smoking. I recently learned that regardless of the causes, skin breakouts can be treated naturally, which helps to prevent the adverse effects of harsher products. I have always had very sensitive skin that tends to breakout any time I use a new product, especially those that contain fragrance. So I was delighted to learn that the application of apple cider vinegar has long been one of the most trusted home remedies for skin breakouts. It also has anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties, making it effective in more ways than one. Who knew? A honey and cinnamon mask can also be helpful because of the antioxidants they contain. And you can try spot treatments with the use of tea tree oil.

Eye Bag Removal

Puffy eyes are a common problem as we age . To get rid of unattractive eye bags one age-old solution that really does help is the use of cucumber slices. They provide a cooling effect and prevent irritation. The application of an egg white mask, aloe vera, and petroleum jelly can also be helpful to reduce the appearance of bags under our eyes.
