SUNDAYS WITH CELIA VOL 59
Greetings on this Sundays With Celia Vol 59 Sunday before the 4th of July!
Planning For The 4th of July on Sunday
It bugs me that the 4th is on Wednesday this year:( Kinda puts a damper on the holiday for a lot of folks I’ve talked to who must work the following day. However, if you can take the rest of the week off and enjoy an extra long holiday weekend, then a mid week 4th of July would be perfect! So, how will you be spending the 4th? If you need some help with last minute planning have a look at my Ultimate Guide To The 4th of July.
I’m having a little family gathering on our Lake Arrowhead dock for the 4th.
I’ll be BBQing Chicken & Ribs and making my yummy recipe for The World’s Best Red Potato Salad. If you haven’t tried my Potato Salad recipe now is the time! It’s perfect for the 4th of July!
I also plan to make another winning recipe, my delicious Peanut Coleslaw. The combination of red and white cabbage make it very patriotic. And the addition of peanuts makes it crunchy and different in a really go0d way. It’s my Wood Ranch BBQ Knock-Off recipe, perfect when you can’t make it to their winning restaurant.
Yesterday I attended a very special 60th Surprise Birthday Party for a special girlfriend.
My contribution to the party fare were my Easy Individual Cheesecakes. This is another great patriotic recipe that would be perfect for the 4th. I’ll be sharing the recipe on Monday so be sure to check back in!
Pedaling On The Potomac On Sunday
Sadly my oldest son and my 2 grandchildren will not be with us for the 4th of July.
They will be enjoying the fireworks on Capital Hill. I got to do that one year and it was thrilling. We all walked onto the Key Bridge in Georgetown for a bird’s-eye-view of the fireworks glistening over our nation’s Capital and reflecting on the Potomac River. On this Sunday before the 4th my son took his kids pedaling on the C & O Canal Path along the Potomac River.
It’s such a lovely place, complete with resident deer. It’s something that one would never expect to have in the middle of a major metropolitan city. So if you’re planning a trip to DC put peddling on the Potomac on your list of fun things to do!
A Little Carpool Karaoke on Sunday
When I was growing up every young girl at the time dreamed of being Paul McCartney’s girlfriend. I loved his music when he was a Beatle, not as much as he evolved over the years. Now I adore James Corbin so I was delighted when he got Paul McCartney to carpool with him. I know this video has been circulating for a couple of weeks already but if you haven’t yet seen it, it’s not to be missed, especially if you’re a fan of these two talented blokes.
Looking Back On Sunday
Just in case you missed it, this week I shared with you the Guest Room in The House On Victoria Court. It’s still on the market so if you or someone you know are looking for the quintessential mountain cabin in beautiful Lake Arrowhead, California, this is it! Please contact my agent, Lynne Wilson to view the home: 909-337-2080
And I also shared some Natural Skincare Tips in this blog post…
So, I hope you enjoy a wonderful Independence Day celebration. We really are lucky to call this great country our home!
So there you have it: SUNDAYS WITH CELIA VOL 59
