MY FAVORITE ONLINE PARTY SUPPLY VENDOR
Hello and welcome. Today I’m excited to be teaming up with my favorite online party supply vendor, McDonald Paper & Restaurant Supplies. I learned about this awesome company just as I was in the throws of planning my son’s recent wedding.
It was perfect timing because there were so many things I needed for the wedding that would be taking place in my own home. Hosting a wedding in your residence is a far more challenging endeavor than hosting a wedding at a venue. That’s because a venue generally supplies most everything needed. Not true in our case, where we had to provide everything from tables and chairs, linens and tableware, serve-wear and flatware, beverage glasses and decanters, table decor, bar supplies, paper goods, and the list goes on and on.
But I found that for much of what I needed McDonald Paper was a one-stop-shop, making my search for the perfect items much less daunting. For example, after checking the cost to rent glassware I determined that it is actually more economical to purchase beverage glasses in bulk than it would be to rent them, so that’s exactly what I did. Plus now I have glasses for the masses for my next soiree.
McDonald Paper offers an incredible selection of items, over 20,000 products, so when I started calculating just how many glasses I’d need in order to not only set the dining tables but to stock the bar as well, I decided to use really good quality disposable drinkware in the bar. The disposable champagne glasses I ordered were so attractive I even put them on display, as you can see in the photo below.
And as you can see, the bride thought that it was all just fine.
She even took to the dance floor with her cup & straw.
To add an additional festive touch I decorated the bar with this display of paper straws and custom printed cocktail napkins that I housed in a galvanized tray surrounded by fresh limes and votive candles. Who would notice the plastic glasses now, right?
Plus we needed glasses for the water station we set up for guests to refresh themselves as they arrived for the ceremony.
And more glasses were needed for use at our serve-yourself Signature Cocktail Station where we served his “Love You To Peaches Sangria” and her “Pretty In Pink Grapefruit Mojitos”.
And speaking of beverage service, I was concerned about how we would keep the white wine chilled on the dining tables during the dinner service. To keep the wine flowing we wanted people to be able to serve themselves, but I dislike ice buckets that drip all over the tablecloth. So the fine folks at McDonald Paper came to the rescue, gifting me these stunning natural marble wine chillers. You can purchase them for the bargain price of about $13.00 each! Wouldn’t they make a great hostess or holiday gift too?
They gave me enough of them to place 2 wine chillers on each of our 4 long dining tables. The morning of the wedding I placed them in my freezer and left instructions for the caterer to place them on the tables just before the dinner service.
They not only kept the wine chilled throughout the dinner service, but my marble wine chillers also looked simply beautiful on the tables! From the Gazpacho Soup Course…
