As you know if you’re a regular follower of After Orange County, my son was recently married here at our home in Lake Arrowhead.

He and his bride didn’t want any of the traditional wedding gifts like china, crystal or kitchen appliances because they had already established their home together some time ago. In fact, you may remember that I shared with you this blog post entitled: Great Chicago Apartment Decorated on a Budget.
In that post you could likely see that my son and his bride don’t have much room to store a lot in their small apartment, so they opted for a wedding registry where friends contributed to their Hawaiian honeymoon. I guess this is a popular wedding trend these days.
But Brad and I wanted to give them some things that would be more tangible and memorable than money for their honeymoon. So for one of their gifts I asked them to select a favorite photo from their wedding day. They chose the photo below.

What I had in mind was to have it turned into a beautiful, large, canvas print to be displayed in their living room. The color palette I had used in decorating their apartment was that of neutral tans and black, so I decided to use a black and white version of the photo they selected for their canvas print.
At “CANVAS ON THE CHEAP” I could get a really large canvas, 30″ x 40″, for an unbeatable price. In fact, when the box arrived around Christmas time it was so large it was almost as tall as my daughter-in-law.
And it turns out the quality of the canvas was terrific, the image was beautifully printed, the deep 1 1/2″ thickness of the frame made it look beefy, and the mirrored image wrapped around the sides gave it a really nice finished appearance. They loved it!
The kids’ apartment has high, open, loft-like ceilings, so they needed a large canvas to cover one wall that remained blank. See that big empty wall on the right?
That’s where they decided would be the perfect spot to display their beautiful wedding picture, giving them a daily reminder of the most important day of their lives.
They had no trouble installing it using the wall hanging system from CANVAS ON THE CHEAP that included a balance level and all the necessary equipment.
But there are many creative ways to use inexpensive canvas prints for wall decor beyond just hanging one single image on a wall as they did. I happen to love gallery walls, and think it would be fantastic to use multiple canvases in a variety of sizes to create a gallery wall full of complimentary photos that tell a story.
I also love the idea of splitting one photo onto 2 canvases, as was done in the image below by The Mombot blog. Two small canvases on a wall, balanced with other decor items looks so charming.
And did you know that you can print any digital image onto canvas? It doesn’t just have to be a photograph. You can print paintings or digital art onto canvas as well. How cool is that? And the canvas can be framed, making it look like a beautiful piece of artwork at a fraction of the cost of original art.
For a limited time CANVAS ON THE CHEAP has reduced its prices by a whopping 87%. So now is the time to take advantage of these amazing savings and order a canvas for yourself. Just click here.
But now I’d also like to give you an opportunity to WIN your own CANVAS ON THE CHEAP print. If you are 18 years or older and reside in the United States you could WIN your very own 16″ x 20″ Canvas. Enter to WIN here…
