BEST WISHES ON THANKSGIVING

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

On this day of Thanksgiving I wanted to express how grateful I am to you for your following along on this blogging journey with me. This month marks the 1 year anniversary of After Orange County.  I have loved every minute of it and hope you have too.  I am so inspired by followers like a woman named Patti who last week wrote in to say, I have read every post, and have loved every one!”  It is comments like hers that make this all worthwhile.  So thank you everyone out there. I hope I have brought you some inspiration and helped to make your life just a wee bit brighter.

I am sharing this day with my family and some cherished friends, including the architect who became a dear friend in the process of designing and building our home. A piece of his heart lives here in the home we built “after orange county” . I feel very thankful that he and his family will be joining us today.

Last year on this day we welcomed a new family member to our table, my precious little Granddaughter who was 10 months old at the time.  I wrote this Thanksgiving post about it.

This year we will be adding another booster seat to our Thanksgiving table for my 10 month old grandson. Life is sweet!

My husband Brad has perfected the art of the Thanksgiving toast.  Every year on Thanksgiving Brad gives a very eloquent speech and addresses everyone in the family with some special words.  At the end he asks us to raise our glasses in thanks to all the men and women of our military that serve to make our nation great.  If you have a family member in the military I hope they will be coming home to you this Thanksgiving, just like the folks in this very touching video.

CHEERS!

PS – Get out the tissue box, this one’s a tear jerker.

So there you have it: BEST WISHES ON THANKSGIVING
