SUNDAYS WITH CELIA VOL 23

Hello and welcome to Sundays With Celia Vol 23. I hope you’ve been enjoying a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.

Looking Back On Sunday

If you hurry you can still make an Advent Calendar to help the little ones in your life count down the days to Christmas. I showed you how in this blog post last week.

Feeling Grateful on Sunday

I happened upon this sentimental video and wanted to share it with you. Watch and see how students thank their favorite teachers. What a lovely sentiment at Thanksgiving.

ENJOY! But find a tissue box first…

Getting Ready for Christmas on Sunday

Like many of you, I’ve now transitioned from Thanksgiving to Christmas and have started my holiday shopping and wrapping. I often find that it’s difficult to wrap certain items that simply don’t fit into a normal sized box or gift bag. Well the creative woman over on www.YourAverageJane.com has found a great solution for wrapping odd sized gifts, by making your own DIY gift bags. Just watch this handy-dandy video to learn how you too can make your own gift bags using gift wrap. Just think, you can have gift bags that match the wrapped gifts under the tree. Sure is cheaper than buying pricy gift bags too!

What To Watch on TV

A new season of Fixer Upper with Chip & Joanna Gaines begins this week. The premiere episode is set to air on HGTV on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 9 p.m. PST/EST.

Making Travel Plans on Sunday

Travel and Leisure Magazine announced that Portugal is their 2016 Destination of the Year. Portugal is hotter than ever and it doesn’t surprise me after visiting Lisbon last year.

“Europe’s economic crisis left the country on the brink of bankruptcy, and government funding for the arts dried up during the crash. But young entrepreneurs took matters into their own hands, drawing on local talent and resources—resulting in a rich cultural scene. A party shift in 2011 has led to calm political waters, and today tourism is on the rise, helped along by Portugal’s affordability and year-round warm weather. You can feel the energy everywhere—read on for everything you need to know about the country, and the exciting changes happening in this landmark year by clicking below.”
