PICTURE PERFECT GIFT FOR YOUR BEST FRIEND
Your Bestie, your BFF, your main platonic squeeze, your Homie (the affectionate term my Besties call each other) whatever you call them, when it’s time to get them a gift you want a picture perfect gift for your best friend.
It needs to be meaningful, special and the perfect combination of useful and sentimental. And it should be something that shows you have taken the time and made the effort to select just the right thing. One of my best friends is having one of those special birthdays that ends with a zero, the kind we hate to count but usually celebrate in a big way. So, I’ve been on the prowl for something really special for her. Perhaps you too are looking for that picture perfect gift for your best friend? If that’s the case I think I can help.
ACCESSORIES
Most of us don’t feel comfortable buying clothes for other people, even if it is our bestie. But how about something to go with the clothes she already has? Accessories are a great way to make the same outfit look new again, so this present would be as functional as it is fun. My oldest and dearest friend recently moved to Denver, Colorado, a 3-hour plane ride from me. But even though we’ve lived in different states for many years we’ve managed to keep our relationship very close. Fortunately we travel to see each other for special events (like birthdays) and stay in touch with frequent phone calls. So, if you have a long distance bestie and you have the financial means to make it happen, surprise her with a ticket to come see you in your city. Even if you work hard to keep in touch, there’s nothing like time together to leave indelible memories on both your hearts. True BFFs will often say, “It was as if no time had passed, we just picked right up where we left off.” So, what are you waiting for? Use those miles, find a deal, or hop in a car to “kidnap” her for that long overdue road trip you’ve been dying to take together. The sentiment will be so appreciated and the memories will last a lifetime.

AN EXPERIENTIAL GIFT
Much like the trip, an experiential gift would be more about your BFF going to see something, or doing something special rather than opening something. While opening a gift is great, an experiential gift is more about thinking outside the box—both literally and figuratively. Whether it’s tickets to see her favorite band, gift cards to a theater for your movie buff bestie, or a gift certificate to her favorite restaurant, an experiential gift shows her that you are a good listener and know just what it is that makes her happy. As the saying goes, it’s the thought that counts, and that’s exactly what an experiential gift is all about.
A PHOTO GIFT
Remember photo albums from the good old days? Although we’re never without smart phones and take more pictures than ever these days, we rarely get any printed. That’s why a photo gift is treasured even more in today’s day and age. From a personalized calendar or photo mug, to a framed photo from your last adventure, or a customized mouse pad, a gift like this will surely bring a smile to her face.
