20 WAYS TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL S’MORES DAY
Hello!
Did you know that this Sunday, August 10th, is National S’mores Day? Who knew? And who comes up with these things anyway? Well, regardless of the silliness of a holiday in celebration of S’mores, I have to admit I LOVE THEM! I’m honestly not a big fan of chocolate, and marshmallows don’t exactly blow my skirt up, and I can take or leave graham crackers, but put those three things together and toast them…
well you’ve got something there.
I was reminded of how wonderful S’mores can be on my recent Southern Road Trip when I made S’mores at The Inn at Palmetto Bluff.
The Inn supplies all the fixins for S’mores and guests can roast them around the fire pits that are lit each night in front of the Inn.
So, in honor of this national celebration, I thought I’d show you 20 Ways to Celebrate National S’mores Day.
1. Have a party and set up a S’mores Bar like I did for my son’s graduation party and just enjoy good old original S’mores.
2. Make these delicious looking S’mores Brownies from Williams Sonoma.
3. Or make White Chocolate S’mores Gooey Cake Bars from Picky Palate.
4. Then there are these yummy looking S’mores Fudge Bars from Handle The Heat.
5. Why not celebrate with a S’mores Ice Cream Sundae from Savory Simple.
6. You could make this awesome looking S’mores Cake from Seasons and Suppers.
7. Or how about this S’mores Layer Cake from Smitten Kitchen.
8. Then there is always this recipe for S’mores Rice Krispie Treats. You can grab the recipe over at Baker’s Royale.
9. You could make S’mores Peanut Butter Parfaits from Cooking With Carrie.
10. How about S’mores Cupcakes. These are also from Bakers Royale.
11. Or these Graham S’mores Cupcakes from Creme de la Crumb.
12. How about makin’ some Pie Crust Cookie S’mores from Just A Taste?
13. You could even make S’mores Macarons with the recipe from Bakers Royale here.
14. I’m sensing a trend here. Bakers Royale likes S’mores as much as I do. She even makes S’mores Eclairs!
15. Now, if you want to get real special, Something Swanky will teach you how to make your own Homemade Graham Crackers for your S’mores over on her blog here.
16. Or you could get really fancy and make homemade marshmallows for your S’mores. Salted and Styled even makes Lavender Marshmallows for her S’mores.
17. Then there is always this recipe for Triple Dipped S’mores Apples from Country Living.
18. This S’mores Ice Cream Pie from Heather Christo also looks delicious.
19. But, if you want to celebrate National S’mores Day in a real grown up fashion, toast the day with a S’mores Martini.
